“ SMS has three beautiful elements why it would be (and should be) a strong service delivery platform. It works on all phones. It reaches fully across the Digital Divide ie to Emerging World countries where smartphones are only in the hands of the rich 5% or so. And SMS requires no installing of any apps or settings, so it works out-of-the-box even for 5 year old hand-me-down handsets.
